I really had fun with this assignment, although I almost froze to death. I took this image at a 90 second exposure at F/22 with an ISO of 1600. It is a bit grainy. I need more practice. We should make a night time field trip with the class. I like the fact that even though it looks like day I was still able to get the tail lights on the vehicles on the freeway.
Could you have used f5.6 ISO400 at the same exposure time to reduce the grain? Great shot! Did you make any adjustments in Photoshop?
ReplyDeleteI agree that there is no need to use a high iso to get a shot of something that is not moving, and thereby reducing the graininess. Since the exposure time is not really a factor, I like shooting this shot at even iso 100. The only difference would be in the effect that the car lights would have on the image. That aside, the street is not moving and the lighting could be almost the same.
ReplyDeleteThe effect the lights from the cars against the day for night effect is cool.
ReplyDeleteAgreed I would have shit this with an iso of 100 too I love the photo though I think the car lights really add interest to the background it almost makes it look like an artificial sunrise or sunset
